TRAVEL CONSIDERATIONS

Cash

Resorts will generally accept USD for things like tips at the bar, but you may want to consider getting some Pesos for anything off resort. We often do this at the currency exchange kiosk in the airport. Other considerations include looking into a travel credit card or contacting your bank to see foreign transaction fees that may be applied if you use your bank card in Mexico. Luckily, most everything you need will be covered in the price of your stay so we hope cash isn’t too big of a concern.

Travelers Insurance

We recommend all guests to invest in travel insurance as it safeguards you (and your money) from any unexpected events that may occur. There are a number of travel insurance providers you may be able to use (e.g. your credit card provider may offer travel insurance or www.travelinsured.com has also been recommended to us.)

Airport

The airport you'll be flying to is Cancun's main airport (CUN). A reminder that our travel team will arrange ground transportation to and from the resort (this is a $86/person charge at booking). You'll be advised by our travel team after you send your flight information about where to go upon arrival.

Returning Home

You will have to go through customs when you land in your local airport. If you'd like, you can invest in Global Re-entry to make the process easier. Here's a link to give it a look and apply early - https://www.cbp.gov/travel/trusted-traveler-programs/global-entry. Please note, this is a 'nice to have' and not a requirement at all for traveling.

Weather

Typical high temperatures will be between 85-88F with lows between 72-75F with mild humidity. This of course will mean that it'll be summer attire during the day, however it may be cooler in the evenings.

First Aid

We'd also recommend you invest in a basic first aid kit for convenience and any sensitivity to the local cuisine.

RESOURCES & FAQ

Do I need a passport?

Yes, you will need a passport to travel to Mexico. You can update/apply for a passport through your local post office. We recommend giving yourself at least 3 months in advance. Depending on the airline you fly, you may need your passport number to book your flight. Brittany just had to get one so feel free to reach out if you have questions.

Does the travel team also book your flights?

No, you will be in charge of booking your flights. Our travel team will organize your transportation to and from Cancun's airport (CUN) and the resort. Once you have your flight information send it to Daniela (contact info above).

How far in advance should I book my flight?

Typically 2 months in advance is optimal for pricing. This is what Google has to say about it, "For flights to Mexico, the best time to book is generally between 1 and 3 months before your travel date. Specifically, Google data suggests that flights to Mexico are often cheapest when booked between 26 and 68 days in advance, with 44 days being the sweet spot." We like to use Google Flights to help compare our options on flight prices!

What airport do we fly into?

Cancun International Airport (CUN) will be the airport you fly into. The resort is about 30 minutes away from the airport.

Can we bring our kiddos?

Yes! Our resort is family friendly and we completely leave the option to bring your kiddos up to you.

How can I see pricing for my room?

Click the 'Start Booking' link above and enter in room occupancy as prices vary depending on how many guests are in a room. A general rule of thumb is $257 per person, per night, for a room with 2 guests. Update 12.14.2026: Booking link has been closed.
